The Denver International Airport is one of the busiest hubs in the United States, handling about 2,000 flights every day. However, those traveling through the airport on Friday likely experienced some issues related to a significant snowstorm in the area.

After more unseasonably warm weather in the 60s, another storm expected to bring several inches of snow is heading into Colorado.

Denver temperatures were expected to approach near-record highs on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s rain showers, according to the National Weather Service.

With only traces of snow falling in Denver in February, the city officially tied its record for the least-snowy February since 1882, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter of 2025 to 2026 was one for the Denver weather record books, marking one of the warmest, driest and least snowy winter seasons since record keeping began in the late 1800s.
